That's what this piece is about, really. The quiet density of the forest floor, where growth happens slowly & without announcement. Soft shifts in tone & texture, a surface that feels close & held.
Something you could look at for a long time without it asking anything of you.
Created as part of my Oak Moss series in the ancient woodlands of the North York Moors National Park.
