ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CANVAS

In Snare, obscured shapes are caught in a web of unseen forces. Inspired by the countless marine animals trapped in ghost nets, longlines, and plastic loops, the painting combines grace with entrapment. Gentle sweeps of colour are overlaid with bright tendrils of oil pastel and then lost again in the wash of the ocean —beauty strangled and tangled in human waste. It’s a quiet, suffocating kind of grief.

FRAMED in a simple waxed, wooden frame moulding. Frames are hand crafted and finished by me in the studio.
