Rend

ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CANVAS

This is the tearing. Rend speaks to the emotional and physical rupture caused by our exploitation of the sea. A blue waterfall splits the canvas like a wound, revealing raw earth and the runoff from industry is all that lies beneath. The composition portrays our current tension, the ocean itself is pulling apart—its ecosystems unravelled, its balance violently broken.

FRAMED in a simple waxed, wooden frame moulding. Frames are hand crafted and finished by me in the studio.
