The Lionfish (Pterois volitans) is not interested in your opinion of it.
Spines fanned out like a particularly overdressed Victorian naturalist, it drifts, venomously, through the reef entirely unbothered by the fact that it has become one of the most invasive species in the Atlantic.
Contained.
Precise.
Slightly dangerous.
But it's a fish. It doesn't actually know this. And that is so interesting, the tension between what's undeniably arresting and what's ecologically complicated.

Printed in a deep oil black ink on Japanese rice paper, with a gentle striation running through it.
Hand-pulled, signed and numbered from a limited edition of 50.
Mounted in a hand-cut mount, your choice of burnt orange, cobalt blue or arctic white

Fits a standard 8 x 10 inch frame 

Japanese rice paper is delicate.
Keep the print out of direct sunlight and handle it by the mount rather than the surface.
Framed behind glass it will last a lifetime.
