Mola Mola, Ocean Sunfish
Limited Edition Lino Print

The ocean sunfish (Mola mola) is the world's heaviest bony fish, can reach over two thousand kilograms, and looks, let's be real, like someone forgot to finish it.

All enormous head, tiny fin, nothing at the back where a tail ought to be.
Most of my print names have a little joke or a fact in their name, but the poor Mola Mola is already a bit of a joke in the sea. It is also, once you spend any time reading about it, one of the most peculiar and quietly magnificent animals in the ocean....

Printed in a deep teal oil-based ink on Japanese rice paper, with a gentle striation running through it.
Hand-pulled, signed and numbered from a limited edition of 50.
Mounted in a hand-cut mount, your choice of burnt orange, cobalt blue or arctic white
Size (with mount) 8 x 10 inches
Sold unframed
Fits a standard 8 x 10 inch frame

Japanese rice paper is delicate.
Keep the print out of direct sunlight and handle it by the mount rather than the surface.
Framed behind glass it will last a lifetime.
