Going Nowhere in Particular, Eagle Ray
Limited Edition Lino Print
Something I hadn't expected when I started this series: the eagle ray (Aetobatus narinari) is almost impossible to describe without sounding like you're making it up. A wingspan that can reach two and a half metres. A spotted back. A tail up to three times the length of its body. It glides through the water with the unhurried confidence of something that's never had to hurry.
The print is a rich orange, the colour of a tropical sunset, on Japanese rice paper. Hand-pulled with an oil-based ink that gives the surface a richness which only becomes apparent once it's on the wall and you've stood with it for a moment.
Printed in a rich orange oil-based ink on Japanese rice paper, with a gentle striation running through it.
Hand-pulled, signed and numbered from an edition of 50.
Size (with mount) 10 x 12 inches
Japanese rice paper is delicate.
Keep the print out of direct sunlight and handle it by the mount rather than the surface.
Framed behind glass it will last a lifetime.
