Dredge

Dark, rusted, and heavy with implication, Dredge responds to the mass crustacean die-off along the Teesside coast. Layers of earth-toned texture and oily sheen evoke poisoned waters and disturbed riverbeds, a visual lament for the creatures lost to chemical disturbance. It’s a portrait of damage both visible and unseen, drawn from the depths of a once-living seabed.

Framed in a simple waxed, wooden frame.
Frames are handmade and finished by me in the studio.
